The ListTricks Core Module LTool_AddIn.DLL generates selected numbering schemes and Tables of Contents for those schemes. This article pertains to the Table of Contents Generator only.

New "Table of Contents Heading" Feature

Starting with build 9.0.0.455 and later, the Table of Contents Generator has a new option that will place a simple "Table of Contents" title at the beginning of the automatically generated TOC.

How does it work?

Create or open a document that contains ListTricks based numbered paragraphs.

Position the insertion point where you want your new Table of Contnets and click the Table of Contents button on the ListTricks numbering ToolBar.

From the Table of Contents Generator dialog box, check the "Include TOC Heading" option and chose any desired formatting changes.

Click OK to build the Table of Contents.

The "Include TOC Heading" Option is Persistent

Once you have chosen this option (or deselected it), this remains the default for this user.

This Option is Limited to "New" Tables of Contents

Once a TOC page has been generated in a document, this option is ignored. This is so that the "Heading" text will not be placed in the document multiple times.

Deleting the existing TOC will allow the "Heading" text to be re-inserted.
