Page Numbering
The Page Numbering feature for WordTricks can assist you with creating common styles of page numbering in your documents.
To understand and properly use page numbering in Word without WordTricks, you must be familiar with Word Section Breaks and how they affect Headers and Footers.
![]()
Move to the section of your document where you wish to start page numbering.
![]()
Locate and click the page numbering![]()
![]()
button from the WordTricks button bar or press keystroke CTL + ALT + B.
Which displays the Page Numbering dialog box.

![]()
Choose the type of number and surrounding characters appropriate for your document, and click OK.
Notes:
The option to "Suppress First Page" actually creates separate First
Page and Second Page footers with the first page footer containing no page numbering.
Typically, numbering is applied to a section of your document. But you may optionally
choose to apply numbering to all sections of the document.
Should you choose to start a new style of numbering for another section of your
document, simply check the Start New box and the program automatically
creates a new section break for you.
The option to automatically Create a Section is particularly useful to switch
to a new page numbering style at some point in the document.
