Date Insert
The "Date Insert" feature can be accessed
from the WordTricks Toolbar by clicking the "Date Insert"![]()
![]()
button.
But it is also accessible using the keystroke Shift + Alt + D, which is the standard Word keystroke for inserting a Date Code.
The following dialog box appears:

This feature expands your options beyond a simple "Date Code" field. By tabbing to the additional option buttons (or hovering over them with your mouse pointer) a preview of the option is displayed.
Options that are "Text" simply places the textual date in your document. (Which does not change as the date changes).
Options that are "Code" insert a "Field Code" in various formats that change as the date changes. For example, the "Year Code" option is useful in forms so that it is unnecessary to change 2007 to 2008, etc. as the year changes.
